16 Palestinians kidnapped in IOF campaigns in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Wednesday 16 Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that overnight clashes broke out between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers in Beitunia city, west of Ramallah, as well as in Kafr Malik town, east of Ramallah, and Deir al-Ghusoun town near Tulkarem

 

One Palestinian young man reportedly suffered a bullet injury during the events in Beitunia city.

 

In Nablus, the IOF kidnapped a university teacher identified as Ghassan Dawqan after breaking into and ransacking his house in al-Ma’ajeen neighborhood. The IOF confiscated 11,000 shekels and cellphones during its raid on the same house.

 

A computer was also confiscated during an IOF raid on a printing press belonging to Dawqan in Balata al-Balad area, east of Nablus city.

 

Dawqan had spent many years in Israeli jails, mostly in administrative detention.

 

A lawyer called Ibrahim al-Amer was also taken prisoner during an IOF campaign in Kafr Qallil town, south of Nablus.

 

Another citizen identified as Yazan al-Khalil was kidnapped from his home in Qusra town, southeast of Nablus.

 

In Jenin, the IOF raided the house of ex-detainee Ahmed Abu Sariya in Kharouba neighborhood, confiscated money and checks, and wreaked havoc on the furniture, without making arrests.

 

Another young man called Hamdan al-Sayed was reportedly kidnapped by the IOF at Za’atara checkpoint upon his return from Ramallah to Jenin.

 

Another 12 citizens were also kidnapped from their homes during IOF campaigns in other areas of the West Bank, mostly in Beit Ummar town, north of al-Khalil.
