Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, announced on Monday that 22 deaths and 2,003 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours. 

Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 17 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Qalqilya 1, the suburbs of Jerusalem 1, Tulkarem 4, al-Khalil 3, Bethlehem 2, Salfit 1, Tubas 1, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 2, and Jenin 2, in addition to 5 deaths in Jerusalem.

She said that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Qalqilya 80, Jerusalem suburbs 121, Tulkarem 89, al-Khalil 431, Nablus 291, Bethlehem 142, Salfit 71, Tubas 32, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 242, Jericho 43, Jenin 76, the Gaza Strip 123, and Jerusalem 261.

The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Qalqilya 45, Jerusalem suburbs 68, Tulkarem 60, al-Khalil 141, Nablus 104, Bethlehem 177, Salfit 59, Tubas 17, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 427, Jericho 49, Jenin 49, the Gaza Strip 133, and Jerusalem 580, the minister added.

Kailah pointed out that there are 150 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 42 who have been placed on ventilators.

She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 89.0 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.9 percent, and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
