A number of national activities are due to be held in the Gaza Strip this week to express the Palestinian rejection of Israeli annexation plans and normalisation with the Israeli occupation, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem has said.

In a press release, Qasem added that meetings were underway with Palestinian factions to reinforce the unified Palestinian position against normalisation, especially after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a deal to normalise ties with the Israeli occupation.

The Hamas spokesperson stressed that his movement is in contact with all sides to formulate a vision to face off such moves.

As part of a unified national strategy agreed upon by all Palestinian factions, Qasem pointed out, Hamas has sought to expand common ground to increase the joint national work in all fields.
