Jerusalem is the essence of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil al-Hayya said, warning against the Israeli schemes aimed “to liquidate the issue of Jerusalem

During a press conference at al-Quds International Foundation, al-Hayya said that the Israeli plans to demolish Khan al-Ahmar and judaise Jerusalem are alarming.

The Hamas leader called on the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) to provide financial assistance to the Palestinian people in Jerusalem.

Al-Hayya called on the Palestinians in the diaspora to exert more efforts in order to demand justice for their cause and support their people.

Concerning the wave of normalisation with the Israeli occupation, al-Hayya appealed to the Arab and Islamic nations to reject normalisation with the Israeli occupation and to shut down the Israeli embassies in their countries.

Al-Hayya called for a grassroots mobilisation to bring justice to the Palestinian people and their cause.  

Regarding the reconciliation efforts, al-Hayya hailed Egypt’s efforts to heal the internal Palestinian rift and rearrange the Palestinian home.

Al-Hayya confirmed that Hamas is ready to enter into a true partnership in order to restructure the national institutions, above all the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO).
