Aqsa Mosque’s guard receives four-month entry ban

The Israeli police on Thursday handed al-Aqsa Mosque’s guard Mohannad al-Ansari an order banning him from entering the site for four months.

The Israeli police arrested al-Ansari a week ago at al-Aqsa Mosque and transferred him to al-Qishla detention center.

Al-Ansari was ordered to appear before the Israeli police at the same detention center after the four-month ban ends.

Dozens of al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards, imams, and employees have received entry bans for different periods recently as part of a campaign by the Israeli police aimed at emptying al-Aqsa Mosque of Palestinians and paving the way for more settler break-ins into the site.
