Arab League stopped 40 embassies moving to Jerusalem
The Arab League has said that joint efforts with the international community stopped 40 countries from relocating their embassies to Jerusalem, Deputy Secretary-General Husam Zaki said
He stressed that Palestine is not alone in its struggle against the Israeli occupation. “All the Arab countries stand beside it,” he said, noting that “there would be a lot to be achieved if there was political will.”
Speaking to Al-Arabia TV, Zaki said that the American recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is null and void.
He noted that the EU, Russia, China and all the world have rejected it and the “US cannot assign itself as the guardian of international law.”
Regarding Yemen, he said that the Arab League supports the legitimate government and the efforts of the UN envoy despite the lack of coordination with the Arab League,” noting that the Houthis have not committed to Stockholm deal.
