Arrests, home break-ins reported in abduction sweep by Israel army

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Monday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank

The list of arrestees includes lawyer Aman Jamal Mansour, the wife of prisoner Amir Ehstiyeh. She was arrested shortly after Israeli soldiers broke into her family home in Zawata, west of Nablus, and seized her husband’s car. She was released sometime later.

The IOF also kidnapped the brother of two lain Palestinians along with a number of Palestinian civilians from Nablus, Salfit, and Qalqilya.

At the same time, nine Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from the central occupied West Bank village of al-Mugheir, east of Ramallah.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of three Palestinians from Bethlehem’s southern town of Beit Fajjar and three others from al-Khalil province, in the southern occupied West Bank.

A number of Palestinian young men were, meanwhile, kidnapped by the Israeli military from Jerusalem’s town of Silwan.
