Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday launched large-scale sweeps in the West Bank and Jerusalem, raiding homes, arresting citizens, and clashing with local residents.

Local sources said that the IOF kidnapped six Palestinian citizens, including a senior Hamas official, from their homes in different areas in Tulkarem, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem.

The IOF searched the detainees’ homes and wreaked havoc on them.

Violent clashes broke out in Ramallah and Qalandiya refugee camp between the IOF soldiers and dozens of Palestinian youths who confronted the raids.

The IOF heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades at the youths who responded by throwing stones.

No injuries were reported in the confrontations.
