Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, announced on Monday that 26 deaths, 1,363 new cases of the coronavirus and 1,638 recoveries were recorded, after conducting 5,059 examinations during the past 24 hours.

Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 16 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Ramallah 4, Nablus 4, al-Khalil 2, Bethlehem 2, and Jenin 4, in addition to 7 deaths in the Gaza Strip and 3 in Jerusalem.

She stated that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Qalqilya 23, Tulkarem 66, Ramallah 209, Salfit 22, Tubas 25, Nablus 104, al-Khalil 116, Bethlehem 51, Jenin 74, Jericho 10, the suburbs of Jerusalem 40, Gaza Strip 477, and Jerusalem 147.

The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Qalqilya 47, Tulkarem 75, Ramallah 159, Salfit 76, Tubas 24, Nablus 206, al-Khalil 74, Bethlehem 85, Jenin 84, Jericho 18, Gaza Strip 702, and Jerusalem 88, Kailah added.

The minister noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 83.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 15.7 percent, and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections.

Kailah pointed out that there are 123 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 29 who have been placed on ventilators.
