The Palestinian health ministry announced on Tuesday that 6 deaths, 2,412 infections of the coronavirus and 1,316 recoveries were recorded in the Occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths and 2,258 infections were reported in the West Bank and Jerusalem while one death and 154 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.

Kailah pointed out that there are 114 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 28 who have been placed on ventilators.

She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 90.0 percent while the rate of active infections reached 8.9 percent, and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
