Dozens of Palestinians injured in West Bank protests
Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured on Friday when Israeli occupation forces attacked anti-settlement demonstrations in Qalqilya and Ramallah in the West Bank.
Activist Murad Shtewi said that the Israeli forces violently dispersed the weekly march in Kafr Qaddum town near Qalqilya with live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters injuring a number of Palestinians.
Meanwhile in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, three Palestinian youths were injured by Israeli live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a brief statement that the injured youths were transferred to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah City for treatment.
Dozens of Palestinians took part in a peaceful march in al-Mughayyir village after they performed Friday Prayer on Palestinian lands threatened with confiscation in favor of settlement construction.
The Israeli occupation forces met the peaceful demonstrators with live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas grenades.
