Four injuries in IOF quelling of Kafr Qaddum march
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled on Friday the weekly anti-settlement march of Kafr Qaddum demanding the reopening of the village’s main street, which has been closed for more than 17 years.
Murad Shteiwi, the Coordinator of the Popular Resistance in Kafr Qaddum, said that IOF soldiers attacked the participants in the march. Four Palestinians were wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens were treated for suffocation. They were treated in the field.
Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians suffered breathing problems after IOF soldiers attacked the tree-planting march east of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, on Friday morning.
Eyewitnesses reported that IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas and sound bombs at the participants in the event. Dozens of civilians suffered breathing difficulty and a number of them were taken to hospitals.
The National Forces Committee in Nablus in cooperation with the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission called for participating in marches to plant trees in lands threatened with confiscation by the Israeli occupation, east of Beit Dajan. Dozens of Palestinian citizens had responded to these calls since the morning hours.
