The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza has reported one new death associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and eight new positive tests.

In a press release on Wednesday, the health ministry said the new victim, a 61-year-old man, was in critical condition and died during his transfer from the Indonesian Hospital to the European Gaza Hospital.

As for the new COVID-19 cases, seven citizen from al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza tested positive and one case was discovered by doctors in the Indonesian Hospital.

Another new patient identified as a young girl in her 20s from al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, was also registered as a new coronavirus case after she showed symptoms and contacted the health authorities.
