The Hamas Movement has voiced its rejection of any compromise on the right of Jerusalemites to fully participate in the upcoming Palestinian elections, stressing that there are no elections without Jerusalem.

In a statement released on the Isra and Mi’raj anniversary, Hamas said that it would not allow the Israeli occupation state to impose its will on the Jerusalemites.

“They are at the vanguard of their people and they have the right to participate in charting the [Palestinian] political course,” the Movement underlined.

It called for necessarily agreeing on a national vision and activities and pooling the efforts to confront the dangers threatening Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and fight the battle to defend them.
