The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has decided to appropriate 130 dunums of Palestinian land in the towns of ad-Dhahiriya and Samoa in the south of al-Khalil.

According to local sources, the decision was taken by the Israeli army commander in the West Bank and will target mainly the area of Wadi al-Khalil and Khirbet Attin.

The Israeli army cited security reasons to justify its decision to annex the land and gave landowners seven days to object to the step.
