IOA forces Jerusalemite family to raze their shops

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) forced a Jerusalemite family to raze their five shops in Jabal Mukabbir to the south east of Occupied Jerusalem at dawn Tuesday at the pretext of lack of license.

Abed Sarry, one of the shop owners, said that the Israeli occupation’s municipality forced him and his family to tear down the shops from which they earn their sustenance despite ten years of attempts to obtain license.

He said that the family built the shops four years ago after their incessant attempts to obtain the license failed, adding that they were fined 60,000 shekels, which they are still paying till now in instalments.

Sarry said that the municipality told them to demolish the shops or else municipality crews would raze them in return for 70,000 shekels as demolition costs.
