IOA revokes citizenship of Jerusalemite ex-detainee
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Thursday morning handed Salah al-Hamouri a written decision revoking his Jerusalemite citizenship documents.
Amjad Abu Asab, head of the family committee of Jerusalemite prisoners, said the IOA informed Hamouri, a native Jerusalemite citizen, that he would be stripped of his citizenship documents and residency rights, and gave him 30 days to object to the measure.
Hamouri spent about eight years in Israeli jails for his peaceful protest activities against the Israeli occupation. He is married to a French woman who was deported by Israel in 2016.
