A Palestinian youth died on Monday afternoon after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in al-Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil City.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Omar Badawi, 22, suffered a serious injury after he was shot in the chest and succumbed to his wounds about an hour later.

Another Palestinian youth was injured by IOF live ammunition in Dura town west of al-Khalil City.

The IOF on Monday quelled with live bullets and tear gas bombs peaceful events and sit-ins organized by Palestinian citizens in al-Khalil on the 15th anniversary of the death of the first president of the Palestinian National Authority Yasser Arafat.
