IOF kidnaps 19 Palestinians in W. Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped last night and at dawn Tuesday 19 Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different West Bank areas

In a statement, the Israeli army claimed those citizens were arrested for being involved in activities against Israel.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the IOF stormed different areas of the West Bank, including Qalqilya, Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem and al-Khalil as well as villages and refugee camps, and kidnapped several citizens.

They also said that violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers in Azzun town in Qalqilya and Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem.

In Ramallah, the IOF handed a young man called Jebril Saleh a summons for interrogation in al-Mazra'a al-Qibliya village.

Earlier, the Shin Bet detained an ex-detainee from the same village called Maher Sheraitah after summoning him for interrogation in Ofer.

In al-Khalil, the IOF stormed Beit Ummar town and kidnapped two young brothers from the family of Abu Maria after ransacking their home and assaulting them and one of their brothers.

In Qalqilya, the IOF closed all entrances to Azzun town and broke into commercial stores, which provoked clashes with local young men who threw Molotov cocktail at Israeli patrols.
