IOF kidnaps 34 Palestinians in West Bank campaigns
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested 34 Palestinian citizens during home raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem
Local sources reported that most of the detainees are active in Hamas's student movement the Islamic Bloc in Birzeit University.
The IOF further seized the students' laptops and mobile phones, they added.
Violent clashes broke out during the campaigns that targeted Qalqilya and al-Khalil. The IOF heavily fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian residents, according to the PIC reporters.
On Monday evening the Israeli police rounded up 12 Palestinian youths in al-Isawiya town in Jerusalem.
Residents of al-Isawiya and Jabal al-Mukabber areas said that the Israeli police late at night stormed their neighborhoods and clashed with angry youths. The police randomly fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters, while the youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles.
