IOF kidnaps 8 Palestinians in overnight raids

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday abducted 8 Palestinian citizens during West Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation army said in a statement that its forces arrested 8 Palestinians for being involved in attacks on Israeli targets in the West Bank.

The IOF soldiers sealed off a metal workshop in Beit Awar village in Ramallah and confiscated its equipment under the pretext that it was used to manufacture explosives and grenades.

They further attacked a Palestinian family in the same area, violently beating the father and his sons, one of whom suffered bruises and fractures and was transferred to hospital for treatment.

Local sources said that the IOF stormed Kafr Ni'ma village in Ramallah, and arrested three Palestinians, two of whom are under 18, after searching their homes.

Violent clashes broke out in the area between dozens of Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers who heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at them.

At least five Palestinian citizens, including ex-prisoners, were arrested in Jenin, Qalqilya, and Jerusalem.

Other confrontations flared up in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and Beit Ummar town , north of al-Khalil. The IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas bombs, while the Palestinians responded by throwing stones.

According to local residents, the IOF at daybreak installed a makeshift barrier on Jenin-Nablus road, searched the Palestinian vehicles passing through the checkpoint, and scrutinized the passengers' IDs.
