Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Friday kidnapped Palestinian mother Suhaila Abu Baker, 45, and her daughter Eman Abu Baker, 16, from their home during a raid on Ya’bad town in the West Bank district of Jenin.

Local sources said that this is the fourth time the mother has been arrested by the IOF in recent weeks, noting that her husband Nazmi Abu Baker, 48, has been detained in Israeli jails since 12 May.

They reported that over 15 Israeli military jeeps stormed the western neighborhood of Ya’bad, raided several Palestinian homes, wreaked havoc on them and assaulted their residents.

Violent confrontations broke out between IOF soldiers and dozens of Palestinian youths who confronted the attack.

The IOF heavily fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the youths with no reported casualties.

Ya’bad’s residents have been subjected to daily raids, assaults and arrests which are part of a collective punishment policy pursued against them by the IOF since 12 May when an Israeli soldier was killed by a rock thrown at him during an arrest campaign in the town.
