IOF kills Palestinian teen in southern Gaza

A Palestinian citizen was killed and five others were injured on Friday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at them east of Khan Younis, the southern Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health announced that Fahd al-Astal, 16, died instantly after an IOF soldier shot him in the abdomen.

It said that five Palestinians suffered various bullet injuries and were transferred to local hospitals for treatment.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF heavily opened fire at a group of Palestinian youths who marched in one of the Great March of Return camps east of Khan Younis City.

Weekly protests of the Great March of Return along the border between the Gaza Strip and the 1948 Occupied Palestine were cancelled by the Higher National Committee for Great March of Return this Friday.

However, a small number of Palestinian youths marched near the border fence in southern Gaza and were attacked with IOF live fire.
