Dozens of Palestinian citizens choked on tear gas on Wednesday during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) north of Jericho City.

Local sources said that the IOF heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades at Palestinians protesting peacefully against the annexation.

The IOF soldiers closed the entrance of Fasayel village, where the clashes took place, and deployed in large numbers in the area.

The confrontations erupted when the IOF violently dispersed a demonstration against Israel’s plan to annex the Jordan Valley and large parts of the West Bank.
