The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday notified Palestinian citizens in the east of Yatta town, south of al-Khalil, of its intent to demolish their homes.

Local official Rateb al-Jabour said that Israeli forces stormed at-Tuwani village in the east of Yatta and delivered demolition orders against four homes inhabited by Palestinian families.

The Israeli army justified the measure by saying that the homes had been built with no licenses.

617 homes had been demolished or confiscated by Israel in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in 2019, according to a recent report released by the UN.
