Israeli tanks struck at noontime Tuesday Palestinian targets north of the blockaded Gaza Strip, triggering panic in the impoverished enclave

An Israeli tank fired two mortars toward a Palestinian resistance watchtower east of Beit Hanun town, north of the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military claimed that gunfire was unleashed by Palestinian resistance fighters at an Israeli patrol.

The Israeli army spokesman said the occupation forces hit a Hamas resistance site north of the enclave.
