The Israeli occupation police on Thursday morning kidnaped a Palestinian young man after physically assaulting him in Issawiya district, east Jerusalem.

According to the Issawiya Information Center, police forces kidnaped 19-year-old Basel Dirbas from the district after brutally beating him.

For nearly three months, the Israeli police have been carrying out searches of Issawiya homes almost every day, mostly at night, during which they carried out arbitrary arrests and assaulted many Palestinian residents.

Local residents complain that the persistent hostile police practices in Issawiya have disrupted their daily life and created intolerable conditions for them.
