Israeli police, settlers defile Al-Aqsa courtyards

Israeli occupation police and groups of settlers stormed on Monday morning the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals under heavy police protection despite the continued comprehensive lockdown imposed on the holy city.

Jerusalemite sources reported that dozens of occupation police broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning period of the daily incursions.

The storming was carried out from the Maghareba Gate to the al-Silsila Gate, passing through the al-Rahma Gate area, during which Jewish settlers performed Talmudic rituals.

The Israeli police allowed the incursions despite the continued complete lockdown and heavy rains in the holy city. Meanwhile, strict measures are imposed on Jerusalemites wishing to access the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Khadija Khwais, the Jerusalemite activist, expressed her belief that what happens every day at the Aqsa Mosque confirms that Palestinians must be united to confront the occupation’s plots against the holy site.

The occupation police's incursions took place only few days after Israeli surveyors stormed the Al-Aqsa courtyards and took measurements of the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards and the Dome of the Rock.

Calls continue for all Muslims in 1948 Occupied Palestine and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque to repel the Jewish settlers’ incursions.
