Israeli occupation settlers set up on Thursday new illegal outpost on land belonging to Palestinianvillage of Obwein, north of occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.

Mayor of Obwein, Naji Hamad, said that the occupation settlers set up four caravans on privately-owned Palestinian land between Obwein, Jaljilia and Sinjil villages.

Hamad pointed out that such a measure is always a prelude for building a new illegal settlement.

In addition, he said that the land where the outpost was set up belongs to local Palestinian residents who own official deeds proving ownership of the land.
