Israel plans to build huge towers in Jerusalem

The Jerusalem International Foundation said that the Israeli authorities are planning to build huge towers in Jerusalem and approve more settlement projects.

In a weekly reading of the events in Jerusalem issued on Wednesday, the Foundation stated that the Israeli forces are continuing to approve the huge settlement plans targeting the various areas of Jerusalem, as last week witnessed the approval of the construction of a huge settlement tower that includes dozens of settlement units.

It added that a huge project that includes thousands of settlement units on the lands of Beit Safa and Walaja has also been approved, with the continuing demolition of Palestinian homes and facilities.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government approves more settlement projects, including the approval of the District Planning and Building Committee in the Israeli municipality in principle on the plan to build a huge settlement tower in the French Hill region, the longest in the city, which will be built on an area of 2500 meters.

" The Planning and Building Committee also presented a massive settlement plan that would change the borders of Jerusalem and expand the borders of the "Talpiot Industrial Zone", in the Green Zone extending from the lands of Beit Safafa and Baqaa, to the village of Al Walaja."

" This project comes to write off the "green line" between the two parts of Jerusalem. The plan includes building towers up to 30 floors high, which will include 8,300 new settlement units, in addition to a huge commercial area and public facilities, with building to begin early 2021," the foundation added.

In addition to that, the Israeli authorities transform the Islamic cemeteries of Jerusalem into biblical gardens, and build inside them gifting projects with tourism and settlement goals.
