Jerusalemite kid injured by Israeli gunfire in Issawiya

A Palestinian child was badly injured in his eye by Israeli gunfire after police forces stormed Issawiya district in the east of Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday evening.

According to local sources, a kid identified as Omar Ahmed was injured by a rubber bullet in his eye during his presence in front of his house in Issawiya.

The incident happened when a large number of police forces stormed Issawiya and clashed with local youths.

During their campaign in the district, the Israeli police blocked a main road and set up a makeshift checkpoint near al-Arba’ein Mosque.

Israeli police forces, for long months, have been detaining hundreds of Issawiya residents, including minors, issuing traffic tickets for spurious infractions, serving house demolition orders, blocking roads and committing different acts of provocation and violence.
