Jordan ambassador calls for dismissing Israel envoy

Jordanian members of parliament yesterday called on the government to dismiss the Israeli ambassador to Amman and to recall the Jordanian ambassador from Israel in response to Israel’s violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Safa news agency reported

The Chairman of the Palestine Committee in Parliament MP Yahya Al-Saud read the statement of his committee for the parliament, calling on the government to urgently take all the needed measures to stop Israel’s unilateral measures.

According to Safa, the committee hailed the Jordanian official stance regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Islamic sites in Jerusalem, referring to the role of the Jordanian endowment ministry in the holy city.

The statement described the Israeli occupation’s practices in Jerusalem as a “new dangerous stage” that “provokes” the feelings of Muslims in the entire world as well as inciting “racism” and “sectarianism” in the region.

The Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque also fuel “extremism” and “hatred” which undermine security.

The parliamentary committee called for all the Arab, Islamic and international parliaments and bodies to take the needed measures to stop the Israeli practices and prevent the Israeli partitioning of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

On Monday Israel closed the Al-Rahma Gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulted Palestinians who tried to enter the holy site.
