Palestinian lawmaker Ahmed Attoun has said that Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque are going through the most difficult times of their history, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Describing Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque as part of the Islamic faith, MP Attoun urged the Muslim nation to move to defend the holy city and its Mosque and protect their faith.

The lawmaker pointed out that the people of Jerusalem suffer greatly from two epidemics, the Israeli occupation and coronavirus, affirming that the disruption of congregational prayers at the Aqsa Mosque was an unprecedented incident and saddened all those who used to frequent the holy site for prayers, especially during Ramadan.
