On Palestine Land Day, Hamas reaffirms support for Palestinians’ right to resist occupation

Palestinian Intifada (uprising) in the Palestinian land occupied in 1948 was pivotal turning point in Palestinian struggle and rise of Palestinian cause, head of Hamas Media Department Rafat Morra said.

In a press statement issued ahead of the 45th anniversary of the Palestinian Land Day, Morra stressed the Palestinian people are committed to their national identity and claim to their homeland and will fight off any attempt to change the identity of the Palestinian society.

“That intifada has paved the way for a Palestinian national stage that along with other stages helped entrench the Palestinian presence, protect the Palestinian identity, defend the Palestinian homeland and reject Israeli policies,” Morra added.

Morra reaffirmed Hamas’ rejection to Israeli discriminatory and segregating policies, stressing that the Palestinian people have the right to resist the Israeli terrorism with all means possible.

The Hamas official saluted Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian land occupied in 1948 for fighting off Israeli policies and measures.
