The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Tuesday that 10 deaths, 557 new cases of the coronavirus, and 522 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.

Mai Al-Kailah, the Palestinian Minister of Health, confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths and 109 infections were recorded in the West Bank while 5 deaths and 448 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.

Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.2 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections. 

She pointed out that there are 46 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.

Regarding the vaccination campaign, the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 290,505 including 203,161 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
