Palestinian boy seriously injured in settler attack

A Palestinian boy was seriously injured on Friday afternoon when an Israeli settler in a speeding car deliberately hit him in Huwara town in the West Bank district of Nablus.

Local sources said that a Palestinian boy suffered serious wounds and was rushed to a hospital after he was run over by an Israeli settler.

No further information was given about the boy’s identity or health condition.

Israeli settler violence, including arson attacks on homes and mosques and hit-and-run attacks, is commonplace in the West Bank, but it is rarely investigated by Israeli occupation authorities and the perpetrators are almost never brought to justice.

Settlers attacks, according to Palestinian residents of the West Bank, have seen a noticeable rise during the coronavirus crisis.
