Palestinians mark 72 years of ongoing Nakba

Seventy-two years ago, the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe) started when an entire people were forcibly displaced and massacred by the Zionist gangs to establish a cancerous entity called "Israel" on the ruins of Palestine.

Seventy-two years have passed and the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians is still taking place in Jerusalem which is being gradually Judaized, in the Gaza Strip which has been under crippling blockade for 14 years, and in the West Bank where settlements keep expanding on Palestinian land.

The 72nd anniversary of the Nakba comes this year as Israel, having the full support of the US administration, is planning to annex the West Bank settlements and the Jordan Valley within a few weeks from now.

In 1948 the Zionist gangs expelled over 800,000 Palestinians from their homes, committed 70 massacres, and destroyed 531 villages and towns.

By the end of 2019, the total number of the Palestinian population in the world reached around 13.4 million, meaning that the number increased by 9 times since the Nakba, more than half of whom live in historical Palestine.

On the 72nd anniversary of the Nakba, the Palestinians, especially those in the diaspora, still have not lost their hope to return to their homes.
