Palestinians protest UNRWA cuts in Gaza
Dozens of Palestinians on Tuesday attended a protest in al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip against UNRWA's slashing of services to Palestinians.
The protesters raised banners condemning UNRWA's decision to reduce its services to Palestinian refugees.
Head of the Palestinian Youth Initiative Ata Dergham said that UNRWA's decision to reduce its services is purely political and comes within the framework of an Israel-US plan to liquidate the Palestinian refugees' issue.
Emad Abu Hjeir, one of the protesters, said that, in view of the 12-year-long blockade, the UNRWA cuts will adversely affect the lives of Palestinian refugees in Gaza.
Ibrahim al-Hawajri said that halting aid to Palestinian refugees is part of a political conspiracy plotted against the Palestinians in Gaza who already have been suffering from poverty and unemployment.
