Prisoner Abu Atwan’ family demands disclosure of his health condition
The father of prisoner Ghazanfar Abu Atwan on Sunday demanded information about the health of his son, who has been on hunger strike for 47 days, after he was transferred to Kaplan Hospital in the occupied territories in 1948, and he was deprived of seeing his lawyer.
The prisoner's father told Safa that the prison administration transferred his son to Kaplan Hospital, after his health deteriorated after he was transferred in Busta from Ramle prison to the "High Court of Justice" in occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation prevents the lawyer from visiting his son, and refuses to inform them of any information about his health condition, noting that the family sent appeals to the Red Cross to obtain information about the health status of their son, and they did not receive any interaction."
He stated that his son is on his third strike against his administrative detention, and he went on strike for 41 days in 2019, and 28 days in another strike in support of his fellow prisoners.
The prisoner's father confirmed that his son "will win in his struggle and will achieve his demands."
He called on the official authorities and the Palestinian leadership to work for the release of his son, and to obtain information about his health conditions.
