Palestinian lawmaker Fathi Qaraawi has called for providing favorable conditions in the Palestinian arena for the success of any elections.

“If there is a real intention to hold free and fair Palestinian elections that embrace Palestinians from all spectra, the Palestinian arena should be prepared for that,” Qaraawi said in press remarks on Tuesday.

The lawmaker also denounced the political arrests taking place in the West Bank, calling on the Palestinian Authority to release all political detainees immediately and put an end to the persecution of Palestinian activists.
