The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, called on every Palestinian who can reach Al-Aqsa to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer on Thursday and attend the Friday sermon (Khutba) in the Mosque's courtyards.

Sheikh Sabri stressed on Wednesday the need for attending both the Eid prayer and the Friday prayer on the second day of Eid.

He praised the people of the Gaza Strip, describing them as “steadfast and patient”, and prayed for the martyred and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded. 

The preacher called on the Islamic nation to assume its responsibility toward the Palestinian cause because the Palestinian land is not for the Palestinians alone but for all Muslims.
