Two new corona deaths, 966 new cases in Palestine within 24 hours

The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported two new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus), 966 new positive tests, and 959 recoveries in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry’s daily report, the new COVID-19 victims were identified as a 58-year-old citizen from Kharbatha al-Misbah town in Bethlehem and another from Umm Lisun neighborhood in east Jerusalem.

32 critically ill patients have also been admitted to intensive care units, and 11 of them have been placed on ventilators.

70.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease, while the rate of active cases has reached 28.9 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.6 percent of the total cases.

222 of the recovered patients have been recorded in al-Khalil province, 13 in Tulkarem, 90 in Nablus, 7 in Tubas, 219 in Bethlehem, 236 in Jerusalem suburbs, 108 in Jerusalem city and 64 in the Gaza Strip.
